What To Wear: 5 Vacation Wardrobe Travel Tips
Have a vacation coming up? That means flights and perhaps the stress of planning and wrangling the kids or pet-sitters. The last thing you want to worry about is the fussy of putting together outfits that are equal parts cozy and effortlessly stylish. From sporty joggers to cropped relax boyfriend jeans, to practical flats and sneakers, these comfy trends will step up your airport-game.
Our Stylists have thoughtfully put together a few tips on how to stay stylish and comfortable for your flight.
Accessories:
Dark Sunglasses
Always carry a pair of dark glasses in your carry-on luggage or purse. Whip them out if you need a break from the harsh glare of the airports fluorescent lighting. They can also come in handy during daytime flights if you want to give your eyes a rest.
Bottoms:
Comfortable Pants
Wear comfortable stretchy or loose jeans and/or joggers, even a basic summer dress. The tracksuit is back and is such a comfortable and easy way to travel.
Tops:
Jacket or Scarf
The right jacket can finish of an outfit and look suitably stylish for the traveling fashionista. Choose a neutral color goes with any outfits. If a jacket is too heavy, try a patterned scarf to throw over your shoulders if you get cold.
Footwear:
Sneakers or Flats
A pair or flats or sneakers in a neutral color are not only stylish and comfortable, but they are practical and easy when going through airport security.
A Full Backup Outfit
On a long flight, pack a secondary outfit like a pair of yoga pants with a comfortable t-shirt or jumper in your carry-on luggage. You can change in and out mid-flight so you’re beyond comfortable during the flight and perfectly stylish when you land. Bonus: We don’t want to mention lost-luggage… but keeping a second outfit in your carry on never hurt anyone.
