Getting Back to the Office: Post-Covid Workwear Style Tips

There’s no more hiding 9-5! With offices reopening, our closets are too. Whether you will miss your favorite pair of sweatpants, you can’t wait to wear “real” clothes again, or you have bought into the new “Power Casual” trend, workwear style will never be the same. We asked our team of stylists what their favorite workwear trend is this season to help us get out the door feeling confident and comfortable.

Here’s what our stylists are saying:

Keep it soft while staying professional.

I’m seeing the office trending towards a softer, less buttoned up look. You can still look professional but with the added benefit of comfort. Softer suits and dresses and even dressed up joggers.

Loose can be trendy and comfortable.

I like looser menswear style pants in comfortable fabrics with a button down or fitted tee. If you choose a wide leg or 'paper bag' pant, keep the rest of your outfit simple so the pants are the focal point of your look. A staple plain blouse, camisole or basic blazer paired with a simple nude or black pump.

Wear your sneakers to work and keep them on all day.

Sneakers are on trend making its easy to transition back to workwear (and back from barefoot or slippers!) Pair a cool sneaker with a more tailored shirt, jacket or pant. Here is a great article on more ways to enjoy wearing sneakers to the office.

Abandon your monochromatic wardrobe.

From classic black and white to pastel colors, I'll take it all. Find structured, properly-fitting pieces in a print. Think slim-fitting business pants, pencil skirts, and button-up blouses.
