Guide to Stress-Free Holiday Dressing
The holidays are fast approaching and that should inspire thoughts of sugar plums, dreidels, gift giving, and above all, fabulous events.
But for some of us, this time of year actually sets off waves of panic instead of good will and cheer. Holiday dressing especially can be a source of stress. My recommendation is to address it NOW instead of a few hours before your upcoming event.

Start with a closet assessment:
Pull out your favorite pair of pants, and your go to jeans. Make sure they are in good shape and ready to wear over and over with a few fun tops and jackets
If you wear skirts, find your most flattering one and set it aside. If you are in a cold climate, make sure you have some hosiery on hand. A nude that completely matched your skin tone and a sheer black will get you through.
Locate three dressier tops that you LOVE and that make you feel good. It’s fine to rewear great tops from last year or other dressy occasions. You can mix them up with a skirt vs pants or add jewelry or a great jacket.
Do you have a blazer or other jacket that can go over everything? It will keep you warm in addition to changing up the look of your tops. And nothing provides a better classic, sophisticated look than a great blazer or well fitting jacket. When in doubt, a neutral top and a statement necklace topped with a well fitting blazer works for most anything! Pair it with jeans, pants or a skirt to find the perfect level of dressiness you need.
Grab your go-to dress. Switch up the jewelry, top it with your blazer or jacket and swap from pumps to boots to work for your different occasions.
Sort through dress shoes and bold accessories- these are the finishing pieces and can quickly change up your look and make any outfit a more unique.
